WellnessWellness tip: Greens that boost nutrition
Have you heard of arugula? It is a green, leafy vegetable that contains more nutrients, such as beta-carotene and vitamin C, than iceberg lettuce. It also has about nine times more calcium. When making green salads at home consider choosing a variety of lettuces, such as arugula, romaine and chicory. Using these greens in salads and on sandwiches creates a more nutritious meal. Wellness tips are brought to you by the OSU Seretean Wellness Center, dedicated to making OSU the Healthiest Campus in America. For more information about services for students, faculty and staff, call 744-WELL (9355).
