WellnessAuto setting can be an energy saver
Setting your thermostat to 74 degrees and “Auto” allows the fan to cycle on and off throughout the day. By setting your thermostat to “Auto,” you could save between $100 and $500 a year on your electric bill. On campus where thermostats can be adjusted, set them to “Auto,” whether in heating or cooling mode, to save energy at OSU. If possible, use ceiling fans on low or medium to circulate air.

WellnessWellness tip: A matter of balance
Do you love meat but feel that it just can’t fit into a healthy diet? Not true. Lean meats are very rich in nutrients such as protein, zinc, iron and vitamin B12. The keys are to pick lean cuts to keep saturated fat down, and include meat as a balanced part of your meal rather than making it the center stage of your meal. Wellness tips are brought to you by the OSU Seretean Wellness Center, dedicated to making OSU the Healthiest Campus in America. For more information about services for students, faculty and staff, call 744-WELL (9355).
