Doctoral student awarded prestigious fellowship
Derek Heeren, a Ph.D. student and research engineer in the OSU Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Department, has been awarded a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency STAR Graduate Fellowship to support his research on the transport of phosphorus in riparian floodplains. The fellowship supplies up to $42,000 in support for up to three years.
First pet care seminar of series is Tuesday
Dr. Paul DeMars will present a seminar on preventative pet healthcare with a focus on ear problems on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. in the McElroy Hall Auditorium on the OSU campus in Stillwater. For more information, click here.
Open house on Wednesday
The OSU Seretean Wellness Center will hold an open house on Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tour the Seretean Wellness Center/Colvin Recreation Center, learn about wellness programs for faculty/staff, have some heart healthy snacks and meet OSU’s First Cowgirl Ann Hargis.
