Dream MachineSeason Opens
Today is National College Colors Day and OSU students, from left,: Ben Graham, Holly Franco, Laura Schuller, Heather Stephens and Jonathon O'Connell came to campus in the right color. OSU opens the season Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium against Washington State and tickets are still available, including discounted tickets for faculty and staff. The Student Union Renovation has changed some of the details for gameday. Remember that the Conoco Phillips Alumni Center will be open for Cowboy Corral. Go Pokes!

Become an “Ambassador for Service”
The Service-Learning Volunteer Center is recruiting students to represent service on and off OSU’s campus. A few of an ambassador’s functions include informing the OSU community about volunteer opportunities and resources, performing community service projects, and networking with community leaders. To apply, pick up an application from the turnstile by 001 CLB (ISS) or e-mail c.hicks@okstate.edu. Applications must be turned in by 5 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 8, to 008 CLB or c.hicks@okstate.edu.


Set realistic fitness goals
Do you expect too much when you try to increase your physical activity? Start slow and set realistic goals for yourself. For example, unless you are already very active, don’t set your new goal as 60 minutes of vigorous exercise every day. Instead consider starting with activities like brisk walking for 10 - 15 minutes several days a week. By conquering smaller goals first, you are more likely to continue.
