OSU Mortar Board chapter receives national awards
The Achofoa chapter of OSU was among the outstanding chapters honored for excellence at the 2010 Mortar Board National Conference. The chapter won the Golden Torch Award, presented for significant achievements in chapter management, and the Project Excellence Award for its “Reading is Leading” day at Stillwater Public Library, and for Get on Board Week. Ceiling fans for comfort and savings
In the summer, use the ceiling fan in the counterclockwise direction to produce a wind-chill effect that makes you "feel" cooler. In the winter, switch to a clockwise direction. This produces a gentle updraft, which forces warm air near the ceiling down into the occupied space. Adjust the thermostat accordingly to save energy and money. For more information, click here.
